Façade of the Connecting Bridge at Schillergymnasium
Cologne (DE) 2025
The three-storey connecting bridge between the school buildings is given a façade of individual textile sails on its eastern and western sides. These accompany the structure and lend the bridge a light, open appearance.

On the eastern side, the combination of permeable mesh fabric and denser membrane material creates a varied structure that filters light while also providing protection. In the lower area, the sails form a small canopy. Each sail is tailored in its form and attachment to its specific position on the bridge.
