Air control tower Wien Schwechat Austria
The new air control tower with integrated office building of Austro Control, to the west of the World Trade Centre, becomes the new technical heart of the Vienna air control. With its 109m height the tower is the new landmark of the airport.
The cover is suitable for radar. It consists of 11 gradually distorted rings (4x26x26m) which upwards get more and more oval.
The rings are assembled by the Lift Slab method, level after level in all together 10 steps.
